Review: Incoqnito Necktie

As many of my friends already know, I draw a fine line between my daily persona and the kinky she-devil I’m hiding inside. I wear lace up black boots and fishnets to class and make passing remarks about handcuffs in general conversation. It’s a surprise that most of my friends still don’t realize (or haven’t accepted) that I’m kinky.

The Incoqnito line is made for people like me, who want to bring their kink and their desire into the everyday without screaming it from the heavens. Their philosophy? To create discreet, high quality instruments of pleasure…designed specifically for use at your own discretion.

Incoqnito was gracious enough to send me a piece of their new 2011 collection, the Necktie. This lovely accessory may look like any ordinary tie, but it doubles as a classy leash. One can transition from a hard day’s work to a night out on the town, or from there to a good frolicking in the bedroom.

The Necktie came packaged in a very sturdy black box. It seems to be made of some kind of reinforced cardboard; perfect for giving as a gift or for storing the Necktie (or other accessories) afterward. The box is stamped with the Incoqnito label as well as “Necktie, neck accessory and leash” with a check for the color. The Necktie is designed as one long piece of black fabric held in tie form by a heavy metallic knot (either in silver or rose gold). The polyester/rayon blend fabric is a good weight and rather shiny, which makes it easy to pair with other black items as well. The knot is very sturdy as well and funnels the fabric through in order to loosen and tighten the tie around the neck. Finally, the fabric folds outward along the back of the neck so that the force of pulling will be spread out along more surface area.

I must say, I’ve enjoyed wearing the Necktie more than I originally expected. It looks amazingly classy and I felt a strong desire to show myself off while wearing it. It also provided a fun way for my partner to pull me around at the play party I wore it to. I didn’t realize at the time that there is an extra piece of fabric sewn onto the back of the tie which acts as a handle for better control. How cool! I also appreciated how long the tie was on me; it came down to a little below my belly button. Keep in mind though I’m a bit of a twig and my breasts don’t protrude a whole lot, so this tie could appear a few inches shorter on you depending on your body type and torso length.

All in all, I only have one qualm with the Necktie; I keep getting it twisted. I have to pull quite a bit of fabric through the knot to get it over my head, and when I rearrange everything I usually end up twisted one or both pieces such that they just don’t sit right. It takes me another five minutes to re-adjust and twist things back to the proper orientation. For those with very large heads, I would expect it to be rather difficult to get the Necktie on in the first place. I should also mention that the tie is dry clean only, but for those who don’t expect to be submerging themselves in lube, blood, or semen, I expect spot cleaning might do the trick.

Despite the minor twisting setback, I’m very pleased with the Necktie and I look forward to wearing it out more in the future to both kinky and vanilla events! The Incoqnito line is certainly a unique one and its products have been made with the utmost care and quality in mind. I hope to try out their Blade Necklace and Leather Handcuffs in the future.
