This week, I wanted to show you all my Sexploration Project. It was done as a ‘creative reflection of my sexuality’ for my Sexual Health class. The composition is canvas, construction paper, Mod Podge, clay, buttons, acrylic paint, and condoms. Underneath all the paint is a base formed from a booklet I was made by a friend at the Mormon church back when I attended. It reminded me of my ex-fiance so I shredded the thing, but decided it needed to be kept for a later art project. This was the time. It felt good to cover over it, a piece of my sexuality buried but still important. The vulva was an interesting creation in itself; only lately have I been properly looking at mine, all the soft folds so much darker than I expected.
I hope you enjoy the piece, and hopefully I can paint again soon. It was a great release.

I LOVE that you used church propaganda as the base of your project. How many of us have been hurt by the judgment of religion or those who practice it? Very interesting …

Cute! That’s a lot better than I could have done.

Sounds like an interesting class. Love your creation though at first glance I saw it as food. lol

Thanks! Yeah, it’s an odd photo plus the painting itself is all 3D-like. The class itself isn’t quite as interesting as it seems, but I’m taking it because the more popular “FemSex” didn’t accept me even though I’m a graduating senior who tried for 4 years to fit it in my schedule. Grr. I’m bitter, if you couldn’t tell.
