For my latest review from EdenFantasys, I decided I wanted to find an anal plug for beginners. When it comes to anal, I’ve been an idiot all around. It took forever for me to admit to M that I was interested, and when we finally decided to try something out it was zero to penis – exactly the thing not to do. Since then, I’ve been working on starting small and making sure I’m comfortable the whole way through.
After debating for ages whether I was going to buy something from Tantus, I discovered the Pleasure #1 by Happy Valley. I was certainly intrigued – the shape suggested it would be a great beginners toy and it’s made from all silicone! Unfortunately most of the recent reviews were from folks for which this wasn’t their first plug. So, I requested it for review!
The Pleasure #1 is about the size of a man’s middle finger, so it’s a great way to move up from fingering exercises. It starts off with a smaller point and tapers up to a maximum diameter of about 3/4″. This then tapers down into a nice rectangular base which my ass clenched around quite nicely. I found that the size and shape of this plug is perfect for a beginner. It wasn’t too intimidating to use and as M put it in, I didn’t even quite realize he was finished. When inserted, this plug was a whole new sensation for me. We played around, had me get up to fetch things from the closet, and wrestled a bit on the couch. Even though I could have gone ‘a size up’, I was glad to have the small diameter to test out for the first time. Having something that stays in your ass for more than a few seconds is certainly something to get used to. Eventually, we had sex with it still inserted and everything felt tighter and a bit more fun.
I was originally worried about how the rectangular base would feel between my cheeks, but I barely noticed. It nestled in there quite nicely and the plug never once threatened to go in too far. I tried sitting with the plug inserted and still didn’t have any trouble with the base.
One of the best things about the Pleasure #1 is that it’s made of silicone. I’ve fallen in love with this material because it is so, so safe. You can wash it with antibacterial soap, throw it in the dishwasher, wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution, or even boil it for a few minutes! After a few uses, I didn’t even notice any kind of ass smell that I’ve heard about with anal toys such as this. Ooh, did I mention the silicone is also swirly and a bit sparkly? I got mine in purple (EF carries it in orange as well) and I love the milky swirling pattern that runs through the material.
The only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the packaging this anal plug came in. It was a small, crinkly-type plastic bag with a cardboard tag stapled over the top to keep it closed. The tag read “Happy Valley: The happiest valley in Canada” and mentioned that the toy is a novelty item only. The tag was very noticeable as it was bright orange and your toy will be clearly seen by everyone in such packaging. The one thing I appreciated was that there were no naked people plastered all over the outside.
Pleasure #1 was not only a great beginners toy, it was also a calm reminder that Tantus isn’t the only company that makes bomb silicone products. The shape was just what I needed for a first plug and I plan on using this as much as possible before I consider upgrading to something bigger. When the time comes, there’s a Pleasure #2! If you’re looking for a beginner’s plug for your first foray into anal play, I highly suggest picking up the Pleasure #1 from EdenFantasys.

Yey! I have the Tantus Little Flirt but have yet to try it! I’m a bit of a chicken when it comes to things going in my butt because I have the same experience (zero to penis, ow).

Yeah, it took me about four weeks to gather the courage to try my plug, but it was a piece of cake!
